National Website and Back Office System

British Cycling were relaunching their website and constructing a large back-office Content Management System, to handle all areas of their business. They had been dealing with other suppliers with less than ideal results, and so Dotfive were brought in to get things back on track.

We assumed responsibility over the delivery of key features such as the handling of events, races, membership, finance, reporting, and more, and implemented best practice such as the use of an issue tracker and the agreement to certain specifications.

We successfully delivered the functionality required, and built very good relationships with the key stakeholders. The new site went live on the 11th of June, and the extensive back office system now handles all areas of their business, including areas such as membership, events, results, rankings, finance, reporting, and more. All of their national events are handled by the system, along with all financial transactions. It is a key part of their business and allows them to manage operations, mine and process data, and interface with external systems such as Sage and Crystal Reports.

Without the involvement of Dotfive, this project would have failed, with a disastourous internal fallout for the organisation. We brought key experience and reliability to the project, enabling it to be completed and pushed live before the final deadline.

We are in the process of writing a full case study for this project, but if you have any questions about the project and what we can do for you, please get in touch!
