We offer: Competitive salary, flexible home working, on-going development support, and projects you can really get your teeth into. You will be producing websites and applications using PHP/Ruby/JavaScript/HTML/CSS for a range of exciting clients including many household names.
Duties include building new websites, services, tools, and systems based on an in-house library and framework that we use. You will also be required to perform updates to existing code projects, and will be comfortable working on your own for extended periods of time, as well as with other team members.
You will become a key individual within the company, responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of certain features or software products, as well as working on material for clients.
Desirable Skills: PHP (OOP PHP 5), MySQL, Ruby (Rails doesn't matter), Linux (preferably Debian or Debian-based), JavaScript, Git, MVC methodology, HTML/XHTML/CSS.
Useful Skills: C and C++, Python, other languages.
Necessary qualifications: 2:1 or above in Computing, Maths or Physics.
Necessary experience: No commercial experience required, but must have demonstrable skill in some Desirable skills above.
Other necessary qualities: A positive, can-do attitude, enthusiasm, reliability, good communication, willing to do 110%.
Working location: Your own home.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule.
Probation period: 3 months.
